These terms govern the sale of digital products by VELANS (Dr D C Sundaravelan, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India) through velansai.in. By purchasing, you agree to these terms. Contact: dcsvelan@gmail.com.
1. The products
We sell downloadable Android applications delivered as installable APK files — currently Velans Chemistry and Velans Pharmacology (the "Products"). The Products are educational reference tools. They require a compatible Android device (Android 7.0 or later) and installation from outside the Google Play Store ("sideloading").
2. Payment & delivery
Payment and delivery are processed by our payment provider and merchant of record, Payhip. Upon successful payment, Payhip provides a private download link on-screen and by email. Prices are shown at checkout and are inclusive of any taxes indicated there.
3. Licence
On purchase, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Product on your own device(s) for your personal study or professional reference. You may not:
- resell, redistribute, share, sublicense, or publicly host the APK or its download link;
- decompile, reverse-engineer, or modify the Product except as permitted by law;
- remove or alter any copyright, watermark, or attribution.
All intellectual property in the Products and their content remains owned by VELANS / Dr D C Sundaravelan.
4. Refund policy
We will provide a repair, replacement, or full refund if:
- the file is faulty, corrupted, or will not install on a supported device; or
- the Product is materially not as described; or
- you were charged in error or charged more than once.
To request a refund under these exceptions, email dcsvelan@gmail.com within 7 days of purchase with your order details and a description of the problem. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Payhip. Refunds are not offered simply because of a change of mind after a working download, or for issues caused by an incompatible or modified device.
5. Updates
Updates to the Products, if any, are provided at our discretion. A purchase does not guarantee future updates or new features.
6. Educational-use disclaimer
The Products are educational reference tools only. Velans Chemistry is a study aid and does not replace your prescribed syllabus texts. Velans Pharmacology is a reference tool and is not a substitute for official prescribing information, product labelling, or professional clinical judgment, and must not be used as the sole basis for any clinical decision. Always verify against authoritative sources.
7. Warranty & liability
The Products are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind except as required by applicable law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, VELANS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the Products. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under law.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
